Money Tree will be releasing new versions of our financial planning programs shortly after the start of the New Year. Keeping your program up-to-date is important to ensure your projections include the latest calculations and tax changes. Taking a minute to familiarize yourself with the update process by reading the tips below will help ensure quick and easy installation.
When your financial planning program notifies you that an “Update is available” and you chose “Yes” to update, you will be directed to our website to download the update.
Make sure the program is closed prior to starting the installation of the updated version.
- If you receive a message “Files in Use” during the installation, the program is still open. Close the program and then click “Try Again”. This will save you from needing to re-boot your computer after the installation is complete.
- If you open the program after completing the update installation and receive a “Report Generation Error” when running the reports, simply close and re-open the program.
- If your desktop shortcut no longer opens the program or gives you a “The parameter is incorrect” message, rebooting your computer should clear up the issue.
