Where does Financial Planner rank when compared to 200 other jobs? I am happy to find Financial Planner is holding strong on its job ranking position – coming in as the #5 best job on CareerCasts annual jobs report for 2013. So what does this mean for you? It means that you likely have a better job than almost everyone else – and who wouldn’t want that, especially when you consider your job takes up more of your time than any other aspect of your life. As CareerCast shared, “The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) estimates the average employee spends more than two-thirds of his or her day at work or on work-related activities. That’s more time than we spend sleeping or raising our children.”
The financial planner ranks high due to its qualities of being a secure, relevant, and expanding profession with a higher mid-career income than other top jobs. The fact that you can sit at a comfortable desk in a nice office while doing your job also helps!
Financial Planner also held the fifth top job spot in 2012.
